Problem with non-ASCII characters in folders/files viewed in Network Place HTTP interface

The Problem:
Non-ASCII characters (, , , for example) are not displayed correctly in the Network Places HTTP interface view.

The Cause:
This may be caused by an encoding issue with your environment.

The Solution:
You will need to find out which codepage your server is expecting. The default is cp860 (which is MS-DOS Latin1) you can change it by setting the jcifs.encoding system property in $SSLX_HOME/sslexplorer/conf/system.properties and restarting the server.

If you are using a Windows server you should be able to look at the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\CodePage

The OEMCP value is the codepage itis expecting.
